PAF No 14 Squadron

F-6 on Skies
No 14 Squadron known as "Tail Choppers" was raised on 01 November 1948 with a task to convert and train pilots on Tempest, Fury, Auster, and Harvard aircraft. The Squadron was re-equipped with F-86 Sabres in 1956 and later operated F-6s, F-16s and is now operating F-7P aircraft. During 1965 and 1971 wars, the Squadron valiantly defended the eastern skies of Pakistan and its pilots exhibited great courage and exceptional flying skills. The Squadron pilots have been decorated with eight Sitara-e-Jurat till date.
